With all technical prototypes now completed, AdMiRe approaches the next (and conclusive) project phase: a series of technical and production tests to evaluate the fully integrated system. With the recent Consortium meeting and workshop, hosted by Brainstorm in Valencia, the Team defined integration details and generated a comprehensive plan, which will take the Partners through the last stretch before delivering the final project results, under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.
AdMiRe is set to deliver a step change in audiences’ interactivity during Broadcast programmes, as well as bringing substantial improvements in talent immersion and interaction with computer generated elements, at production stage. The upcoming integration work will demonstrate how viewers can be ‘teleported’ into TV programmes, appearing as if they were physically present in the studio, just using their own mobile phone; on set presenters will interact with computer generated environments and digital objects; always maintaining image consistency between physical and virtual elements, so that they all seamlessly blend, delivering a believable, engaging and completely immersive window onto the (newly created) world.
Back from Valencia, the Research Team at disguise has already started setting the xR stage ready for testing!
