AdMiRe has finished its first year of development with a very important technical advance. Currently the technical modules of AdmiRe (Capture & Streaming, Video Processing Applications – Foreground Extraction and Super Resolution, and Interaction with Virtual Objects) developed by UPF, EPFL, CSIC and Brainstorm are almost finished and in a few months they will be able to be integrated into the complete AdMiRe application. Some applications of the modules are already being validated by NTNU and Brainstorm with very favorable results.
Disguise has progressed in increasing the interaction and the presence of live events improving their LED wall systems.
NTNU, together with the end users NRK, Premier Sports and TVR, have prepared some use cases that will be validated as of February in order to evaluate the technology from the point of view of usability and suitability for use in the broadcast sector.
Over the next few months the technical work will focus on the completion of the development of the applications that have not yet been finalized and on the integration of AdMiRe. In February, all partners will have the opportunity to meet at the Brainstorm facilities in Valencia to validate AdMire, evaluate the different modules of the system, simulate different use cases and for training in the installation and use of the technology by the end users.
Finally, we would like to highlight that our website has more than 12,000 visits and the project is being disseminated in the most important VR / AR / XR forums for the broadcast industry.
