NRK, the Norwegian broadcaster, has proposed one of the test scenarios to validate AdMiRe. This proposal is based on an election debate show with a target audience age from 18 to 55 and a duration of 90-120 min. The intention is to teleport audience from home to the set where the show is taking place and get questions by means of bringing the live video stream from the participating audience into the debate scenography. The creative and technical team of NRK thinks that this will be a good way to equalize the playing field and bring people closer to authorities. This scenario will contribute to the notion that what happens in the studio is important, empowers the audience and possibly helps battle contempt for the politicians. Everything from home, with no need to bring people to the real TV studio.
This is the first approach of the test bed proposed by NRK. After the first internal validation of the entire pipeline of AdMiRe and the analysis of the main strengths and constrains of the technology this test bed might be refined or replaced by another test bed if a more interesting application is detected by the technical and creative team of the TV station.
