Premier Sport’s test scenario proposal involves the integration of AdMiRe’s technology into their existing live studio-produced Sports television show. The sports TV show is broadcast live from Premier Sport’s TV studios in Dublin. This existing tv show features live coverage of English Premier League football matches every Saturday afternoon at 3pm. The target audience is 18-55 years olds and the program is broadcast in both Ireland and the UK. The duration of the show is approximately 180 minutes and is presented by Eoin McDevitt or Graham Little with guest participants:- Kenny Cunningham, Damien Delaney, Tim Sherwood, David Moyes, Stephen Ferris, Andrew Trimble and Bernard Jackman.

The format of the show unfolds as follows:

  1.  On-Air from the Studio 30mins before kick-off with pre-match analysis from the Studio Presenter and Guest(s).
  2. Approx. five mins before kick-off, the studio presenter ‘throws’ to the Live Stadium, where an in-vision pitch-side reporter, is on microphone talking over team sheets, statistics and the weather, etc.
  3. Just prior to the match kick-off, we go to the commentator and co-commentator who are at the venue.
  4. At half time, we return to the Studio in Dublin for half-time match analysis, highlights and replays.
  5. Then we go back to the Stadium for the second half of the game and once the game has finished, we return again to our Studio in Dublin for a post-match wrap-up, which lasts another 30 mins.

Within this traditional sports TV show format, there are two types of scenarios that will be tested:

  1. Having a pre-selected member of the public being teleported into our studio set, realistically sitting side-by side with our Presenter and Guest and convincingly joining-in with our studio panel discussion – giving their ‘everyman’ opinions on team selection, pre-match, half-time and post-match analysis.
  2. Using a professional ‘Guest Pundit’ who is unable to travel for specific reasons (e.g. Covid-19), who is ‘magically’ teleported into our studio set, realistically sitting side-by side with our Presenter and Guest, convincingly joining our studio panel discussion and giving their professional opinions on team selection, pre-match, half-time and post-match analysis.”

This member of the public and the professional guest will be seated and will film themselves remotely using their smart phone with lapel mic. They will sit in-front of a portable pull-up green screen backdrop. The AdMiRe technological solution will enable them to be teleported into our studio, in the physical space between and seated at the same low table as our Presenter/Guest.

“We are very excited at the prospect of being able to utilise AdMiRe’s innovative ground breaking Mixed Reality technologies, which will enable us to greatly enhance our production capabilities”.  Mark Pilkington – Head of Transmissions & Operations at Premier Sports.
